How it all started...
Destination Community Church began in November 2009 with twelve individuals aiming to make a difference in Floyd County. This Church emerged in response to a great need because, at the time, studies revealed a staggering 90% of Floyd County did not attend Church on a regular basis or claim a relationship with Jesus.
Expanding The Vision...
DCC held its first service at the Mountain Arts Center on Easter of 2010. Weekly meetings began in September of 2010 and by November of the same year, we transitioned into our current facility, where our gatherings continue to this day.
From the start, our prayer was for DCC to be a place where, regardless of your background, life experiences, and Church involvement, you are welcomed.
Whether you’ve spent your entire life attending Church or have never stepped into one before, our goal is for this to be a place where you’re loved and the message of Jesus is clear.

A season of growth....
DCC was started by our Founding Pastor, Lee Boyd, who served bi-vocationally until 2016. From there, a full-time pastor was hired who served until December 2019. Our current Lead Pastor, Jacob Dickerson, began serving full-time in July of 2021.
What started as an idea and prayer with 12 people has now grown to a vibrant Church making a real difference in our community.
Since our start, we've baptized 297 people, seen countless people come to faith in Jesus Christ, and funneled nearly $400,000 back into our community.

Where we are headed....
Over the past four years, DCC has experienced incredible growth, with an average of over 300 people attending every Sunday. As a result, we've outgrown our current facilities.
In January of 2024, we launched a capital campaign - Building Forward - with the vision of creating more room to reach even more people for Jesus. This includes doubling the seating capacity in our auditorium and adding a 4,000-square-foot family ministry wing for kids and students.
Construction is scheduled to begin in 2025.
